Business Development Manager-FMCG food wholesaler!

£35,000-£38,000 +  competitive commission & package

I am searching for a self-motivated entrepreneurial individual who has strong contacts within key accounts of food service and used to identifying opportunities with customers.

Your key role and focus will be to develop existing accounts whilst introducing new business.  You will be able to communicate at all levels selling in and manage clients of all levels.

So, if you are from a food service sales background who relishes in change and is extremely adaptable I need to hear from you!

The Role:

  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Sales Director, this role is to lead and develop the company’s national account activity, ensuring effective leadership, existing account management and new business growth
  • Work alongside the management team in areas of operations, marketing and product & service offering to achieve the corporate business plan
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of market trends including client and competitor activity and industry innovations
  • Actively contribute towards the successful delivery of the Divisions business plan and targets

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3-5 successful years’ sales experience within foodservice
  • Drive, determination and commitment to get things done
  • Confident, with a high level of self-motivation, possessing the ability to work to own initiative and possessing a hands-on attitude
  • Ability to work well with others, network and build relationships and to have a strong impact on performance within the organisation
  • Track record of new business attainment and constantly hitting new business targets
