Duty Operations Manager – Visitor Attraction – London - £28,000 - £30,000

  • Most senior, floor-based operational manager at the Visitor Attraction when necessary to deliver daily Visitor operations
  • Take responsibility for the building whilst open to the public - including back of house areas- and follow up on all issues as appropriate.
  • Set and maintain high standards across all areas of responsibility, including visitor experience, customer service and security, ensuring that all operational KPIs and service standards are met.
  • Act as the incident controller for a range of incidents, including evacuations. Complete all necessary follow-up reports and investigations to a high standard.
  • Support the Senior duty manager in delivering the cleaning contract, ensuring that services are delivered to the highest standards
  • Provide operational oversight during visits, events and special events (e.g. VIP visits), including supporting event’s managers to ensure that high standards of visitor experience and security are maintained. Investigate, report on and support teams with a range of health and safety related issues
  • Identify areas of service improvement and deliver training sessions to operational teams across a range of subjects as required.
  • Provide on-site cover for weekends and evenings according to your roster and on an ad-hoc basis whenever required to do so.
  • Take care of your personal health and safety and that of others. Comply with the Group Health and Safety Policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work and reporting any health and safety concerns.

You will need …

  •  Experience of working in a busy, visitor-focussed environment
  • Be able to manage a number of tasks whilst also responding to the daily operational requirements of the site.
  • Have experience coordinating operational teams to ensure excellent service standards are maintained. 
  • Be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of visitor health and safety, identifying hazards and potential issues within the site, ensuring that appropriate action is taken.
  • Have working knowledge of security systems, issues and procedures.
  • Remain calm under pressure, responding to incidents quickly and efficiently, in a way that demonstrates sound and reliable judgement.
  • Have a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service and be able to inspire the same passion in others, always leading by example.
  • Be an excellent communicator who can quickly build positive relationships with visitors, colleagues and stakeholders. You will be able to make good decisions under pressure.
  • Have good administration and IT skills as well as an excellent attention to detail, which can be utilised to write a range of reports and documents.
