The Company

My client is a very cool, young, vibrant and dynamic Sales, Marketing and Distribution business, focussing on premium spirits and they like to do things a little different. They sell a range of both Distributor and Company owned globally recognised brands.

The company has grown rapidly since its inception and are now looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Key Account Manager to help build their business across On-Trade, RTM wholesale and specialist retail accounts (individual and groups)

To be successful you will need to be enthusiastic, full of bright ideas and entrepreneurial in your approach. You will need to use your outstanding organisational skills to maintain and develop a successful territory. 

The role:

  • Maintain and promote the culture of the company whilst growing existing business and generating new business through strong relationship building.
  • Maximise both brand visibility and sales volumes in your area, obtaining new back-bar, cocktail and speed rail listings.
  • Prospect and open new accounts to meet sales targets; developing a pipeline of potential and sustainable new customers in your area to grow the account base.
  • Participate in evening and weekend promotions / events / trade shows, whilst also creating innovative ideas for events to grow the brand.
  • Manage a range of customers across On Premise (Bar / Pub Groups), Specialist Retail and Wholesale.
  • Produce an effective call cycle, ensuring total area coverage and achieve agreed number of calls per day.
  • Produce monthly reports, liaise with brand owners, negotiate and secure key accounts and manage trade promotion, tracking customer spend
  • Manage the process for negotiating and securing contracted volume of company brands in key accounts.
  • Where required liaise with Brand Owners providing support when ‘in market’
  • Negotiate and agree Joint Business Plans for larger bar and pub groups

You:

  • Knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the Spirits industry is a must.
  • People person, very confident and outgoing with great idea’s.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in premium spirits sales & highly organised at developing and retaining a successful territory.
  • Experience within a Brand Owner / Agency Brands business managing a portfolio of On Trade and Specialist Retail customers.
  • Existing contacts with restaurants, bars & nightclubs and proven success within your CV.
  • Experience managing larger bar and pub groups & wholesale RTM
  • IT literate – Microsoft / Apple / CRM system ideally Salesforce
  • Experience dealing with retro’s & great relationships with bartenders and bar managers to really build relationships and get the high-end spirits on the cocktail menu’s
  • Keep up to date with new launches, trade shows and events
