I had never contemplated working in recruitment… in fact whilst studying, I seriously considered training as a chef or an actor.
Keen to get out there and start work (!) I looked at roles combining my interests of hospitality and the arts and was fortunate to spend the early part of my career working in some of London's favourite venues.
A few years later, I fancied a change of direction but wasn't exactly sure what that could be. Two things were key - people and service.
I joined Krishnan and the team at COREcruitment in 2013 and initially worked on our Foodservice desk.
It seemed a natural step to form a division focussed on Venues and Events, to allow us to focus recruiting for Commercial Venues, Visitor Attractions, Arenas & Stadia, Event Caterers and Luxury Hotels/Resorts.
Over the last few years, the division has gone from strength to strength and we recruit at all levels, in all areas including, but not limited to, Executive/Director level, in Operations (Front of House and Back of House), Sales and Marketing, Partnerships/Sponsorships, Human Resources and Finance. We also have a dedicated team who look after Chef recruitment.
