I had never considered working in recruitment. Whilst studying, I considered training as a chef or an actor.
Keen to get out there and start work (!) I looked at roles which combined my passion for hospitality and the arts and was fortunate to spend the early part of my career working in some of London's favourite venues, including The London Eye and The Roundhouse.
A few years later, I wanted a change but wasn't exactly sure what direction to take. Two things were key - people and service.
I joined Krishnan and the team at COREcruitment in 2013 and initially worked on the Foodservice desk.
Given my experience, it seemed natural to form a division focussed on Venues and Events, to recruit for Commercial Venues, Visitor Attractions, Arenas & Stadia, Event Caterers and Luxury Hotels/Resorts.
The division has gone from strength to strength and we recruit at all levels, in all areas including, but not limited to, Executive/Director level, in Operations (Front of House and Back of House), Sales and Marketing, Partnership/Sponsorship, Human Resources and Finance. We also have a dedicated team who look after Chef recruitment.
